Tour Details

Your private guided tour starts with the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony*, then a private guided tour of Westminster Abbey, where 39 kings and queens have been crowned since 1066.

We also take a walking tour of Royal London featuring photo opportunities of Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, St James's Park, Horse Guard's Parade, Trafalgar Square and much more - even some royal shops!

NB: *The Guard Change does not happen every day. Please contact me for details.

**Westminster Abbey -  As a London Blue Badge guide, I am uniquely qualified to guide you inside this Royal institution, where monarchs have been crowned since 1066. History, royalty, architecture. Please note that Westminster Abbey is CLOSED ON SUNDAY for touring. Occasional weekday closures too.

Itinerary

10am: Meet at Green Park London underground station or your central London hotel.

Changing of the Guard - Viewing and explanation of the ceremony.

Westminster Abbey - Private guided tour. Only LONDON Blue Badge tourist guides are permitted to guide within Westminster Abbey (we have to pass a specific exam on Westminster Abbey to qualify).

Royal London -  Walking tour featuring Buckingham Palace, the Mall, Trafalgar Square, St James's Park, Houses of Parliament, 'Big Ben' (currently covered in scaffolding) with history, stories and explanations along the way. Please note that apart from Westminster Abbey we do not go inside any of the buildings along the way.

Tour finishes - at Green Park station.

Meeting Location

I'll meet you at Green Park London underground station or your central London hotel.

End location: We end the tour at Green Park underground station.

Duration: 4 hours.

Tour may take a little longer depending on the pace we walk and traveling time.
